Institute for Mathematical Optimization
The Institute for Mathematical Optimization at the TU Braunschweig combines competence in continuous, combinatorial and discrete optimization with a focus on optimization under uncertainty. It comprises four research groups. In research and teaching, the institute is characterized by the excellent combination of basic mathematical research and its valid application in other sciences, economy and technology. The current and successfully completed research projects with applications especially in areas such as mobility, energy, sustainability and operations research bear witness to this. Methodologically, optimal control, robust optimization, and quantum computing are the main focus of research.
